How would my life change if I loved myself, completely?
Take a minute. Take a breath.
Consider these questions:
How would I move differently throughout the day if I truly loved my body? What might I create if I knew I could?
What if I could quiet the voices telling me, “You’re not enough?” How would my life change if I loved myself, completely?
And
What if these questions could be explored in a way that made me feel supported, celebrated, and seen?
Your answers are your own. But I’m here to tell you that they’re very important. And they are attainable.
If you are ready to heal your relationship with yourself and your body, we recommend this course as a first step towards truly seeing yourself, meeting yourself just the way you are.

Why the Ingenious Alchemy Course? My Story:
A early lifetime of shaming messages sunk their teeth in me. As part of a very strict religion that taught that God wanted you to know your place (women were below men) and that your body was something to hide. I also learned from my mother and society that the most important thing was to make sure your body was perfect and skinny, even if you weren’t supposed to show that body.
These negative neural pathways in my brain were carved deeply. I lived and breathed this religion in my bones by going to church several times a week and was very proud of what a “good girl” I was while simultaneously being ashamed of how I could not stop my rebellious questions, ideas, and secret beliefs.
By the time I left the church in my early twenties I knew I had been brainwashed and needed to start over. I had no idea who “I” really was. I started my life over with only two people who would speak to me. Over the years I learned that having confidence didn’t actually mean you were egotistical and my body wasn’t something to be ashamed of. But the reality of those truths took a very long time to overpower the old, toxic voices that had been guiding me for so many years.
I did years of work including therapy, meditation, EMDR, yoga, and reading so very many books about how to overcome, heal, and grow myself into a healthy human.
Alongside all the learning I was growing my photography business at the same time. I began to embrace boudoir photography as a way to heal my relationship with my own body and help other women do the same. Putting myself in front of the lens was not a one time fix for my body issues and the beliefs that I was not enough, but it helped.
I wrote this course because it is a tool kit that I wish I had in my back pocket to practice many years ago. I love actionable items. I value all the types of therapy I have done, but know if I had some specific guidance and practices in the areas that were tripping me up it would have helped me move out of the stuck cycles so much faster.

What Women are Saying about Ingenious Alchemy:
-
"Ingenious Alchemy offers a road map to so much potential healing. Jen’s creative and therapeutically informed approach supports the witnessing and unlocking of old patterns turning them toward ease and kindness. Working through these interesting weekly activities at my pace allowed me to slow down and accept the changes IA facilitates. Each weekly activity builds on the growing connection to the Self. I have a long history of self judgement (who doesn’t?!) and IA helped me to see old habitual thoughts and to gently replace them with kind perspectives. It feels so wonderful to be nice to yourself! This manual/course holds so much wisdom. It is the compilation of a wise woman’s consciously gleaned wisdom on how to live a happier life! IA is transformative."

“Truly life changing. I’m so glad I spent this money . . . some of the best money I have spent on myself - huge value. I was surprised at how quickly my shift started. I was so worried that I wouldn’t actually get what I needed out of the course, and within the first week or two I already had “It.” And then I found even more. Expectations not met, but totally exceeded.

“Jen provided a safe, sacred space to work within and it was just what I needed to come back to a place of self-love. In just the first 2 or 3 weeks, I had already noticed a dramatic shift in my perspective and level of general happiness! As I look back over the coursework now, I’m amazed at how much change has occurred in such a short period of time! It’s truly astonishing."

About Jen:
I’m a visual storyteller and memory keeper. In my role as a photographer, I help clients shift their perspectives to find their confidence and enjoy their time in front of the camera – their time to be seen.
But this work isn’t meant to be done quickly. Safe space takes time. Community takes time. These wall-hitting thought patterns are years in the making – and you didn’t come to them all on your own.
Often, clients come to me ready – but apprehensive about – having their photo taken. Women especially hold misguided truths about themselves. And those truths are often unkind. Underlying whispers about worth, and beauty, and value that undermine the innate power and poise we are all born with.
I spend time with my clients to begin to undo these shadowy whispers, and to rewire the cultural programming that harshly states: “You are not enough.” By carefully creating a container for this work to be done in a supported way, I knew that I could facilitate change that would allow for a lasting impact, both for the individual and for the world.

Week 5: Authority and Autonomy
The stories we tell ourselves have so much power in our lives. They become the fabric we live within every moment of our lives. So retelling our old negative stories is one key to taking our power back.

BEING IN ALCHEMY
Life is magic. And make believe. Judgments, and shame are made up constructs. I choose each day anew to shed shame and live in magic of my own making.
