What do I know right now to be true?
The world is overwhelming to me. And to all my friends too. There is a massacre happening that I feel pretty helpless to do anything to change. And I won’t even begin to talk about America’s political landscape.
There is a proliferation of anger, disconnection, and hate in so many places I look at. There are times when I feel like focusing on myself is both- so insignificant and simultaneously the one thing I can do to change the world.
I have always wanted to affect big change. Make a difference. Change a broken system or twelve. Know what I mean? But I also have an artists heart and didn’t go into politics so I know my reach won’t hit the systems level in the way I wish it could.
However, I do know that having conversations that are important can affect change. In us. In our communities. That ideas turn into actions that shift beliefs and daily realities.
We have choices. Choices in our relationships. Our pursuits. Our careers. Those choices make waves in our lives, out into the community, and the world.
I deeply desire to connect with other like minded women. To be part of change on an individual level. The same way I have always tried to do through my camera lens. Showing women how they are perfect, worthy, and powerful they are is a big change for many of the women I have worked with. But not every women is ready for a portrait session. Which is why I created Ingenious Alchemy, originally in 2019.
I know from the hundreds of women I have worked with that our own negative thoughts destroy our sense of self. Our confidence and self compassion suffer from the voices in our head.
The ones telling us that we aren’t; smart enough, tall enough, pretty enough, nice enough, skinny enough, and on and on and on. That we can’t possibly, go back to school, start a new business, buy our own home, get a divorce, quit our jobs, ask for a raise, take a trip to Africa, or whatever other desires we are holding ourselves back from.
I know from my personal experience that the more connected I was to my own power and confidence the more able I was to connect to the side of me that could grow personally and professionally. I operated from a different place and in a whole new way in my business when I was more kind to myself in every way, when I believed in myself completely.
When I saw myself for who I truly was.
Powerful
Smart
Beautiful
Whole
Magical
When I saw my own truths, I softened, I grew my heart. My connection to my daughter deepened and we became so much closer. In other ways I was able to draw in more beautiful abundance in my life than I could have imagined. When I grew my business I grew my ability to offer my help to others. Both financially and emotionally.
I know that everything is connected. We are all energy. Women in their power, confidence and intuitive connection are literally changing the world.
We need more women changing the world.
This course was one small step that I took to get myself more into my own power. It contains lots of tools I wish I had known when I was younger.
The practices help you clearly see truths, identify and dismantle the voices in your head and get rid of the fodder. Let the old skin slide off to show the real gold underneath. No hiding from yourself. Or anyone else. No making yourself smaller in any way. For anyone.
I updated this course completely and have made it even more robust, at a lower price point, as stand alone workbook. Evie has designed it so that it is also absolutely gorgeous.
