How much does a Boudoir Session cost?
When people reach out about a Boudoir Session it is often their first time doing a professional photo session or hiring a Photographer (besides possibly wedding photos.) The whole process and experience can feel a bit foreign, and people typically have lots of questions.
That's why we get on the phone with everyone we work with prior to booking to answer their questions and get to know them a bit better. One of the questions we aways address on our calls is the investment, and how much clients can expect to spend on a Boudoir Session.
We like to be transparent about our pricing structure and payment options from the outset, so that our clients can budget accordingly and not have any surprises throughout the process. So we wanted to write this piece might help to inform anyone interested in a session of the costs involved.
Upfront Deposit. Many Photographers require an upfront deposit to reserve your session date. This can vary, but our deposit is $325. This payment is due when you confirm your session date with us. It covers the time spent with us during your session and pays for one of our amazing professional stylists to do your hair and makeup. This is the only payment we require up until you see your photos after the session and decide which package you want.
Prepping for your session. Technically, you don't need to spend any money to prep your session. We recommend bringing about 4 outfits to your session, and this can include lingerie, slips, bodysuits, bra and undie sets, pjs, T-shirts, dresses, jewelry, or anything your heart desires! While some people like to buy new things for their session, you can also just bring whatever you have in your closet. OR we also have a full wardrobe rack of options at the studio that is available when you book! Some clients like to prep by getting a mani/pedi, waxing, or having their haircut, but again- this is all 100% optional.
What you're getting out of a session: We specialize in boudoir photography and put so much time and energy into creating a comfortable and stylish studio space, capturing a variety of beautifully lit and posed images for our clients, and maintaining the highest possible quality standards when it comes to our equipment, editing, products, and final image delivery. Our work is a celebration of the female form and we focus on capturing artistic, empowering portraits with body positivity and self love at the core of our business values. Collectively, we have over 25 years of experience helping women feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Boudoir Photography is a niche area of photography because it requires a high level of technical expertise in addition to a deep understanding of how to help women feel comfortable and safe. We work hard to provide this to every woman that walks into our door, and we know it makes us experts at what we do. And that's before they even saw their finished portraits!
Purchasing your Image Package: After your session, we set up a date and time for you to view your images via a Zoom call. During the Zoom, we will share our screen with you and walk you through a gallery of your best images. We will help you select your favorites and decide how many images you would like in your final package. All our packages come with digital files as well as gorgeous physical products including albums, canvases, and more. Prior to a session, we send all our clients our Pricing Guide so they can review our packages and see what's included. We have a minimum package order of $1119, but our clients spend about $3,000 on average on their packages.
Payment Plans: We believe boudoir sessions are an experience any woman would benefit from, and so we try our best to make it possible for anyone who is interested by offering payment plans with no interest or added cost.
How it works: Once you've decided the package you want, we will chat with you about a monthly payment that works for you. Every time you make a monthly payment, we send you a portion of your digital files via digital download. Once you've completed all your monthly payments, we order your physical products and ship them to you. This is an awesome option if you're really excited about a session, but can't afford to make one big bulk investment.
