Springtime, sun rooms, scribbles, and storms…

Meet Pipit!

First and foremost, Jen got a kitten! (Featured above.) His name is Pipit, he is a Maine Coon mix, and he's very playful and loves to chat. Pip is certifiably adorable and the new love of Jen's life.

Sunroom Vibes

As much as I am a public facing girl who’s worked in the area for over 20 years now, I still consider myself very private in many ways.

I was challenged to share a bit more about myself and so I am giving you a small glimpse into my favorite room of my house.

Do you have a room in your home that you always gravitate to being in? I would love to hear about the room and what’s in it that makes you want to be there.

Indigo sunroom overfilled with plant tendrils creeping along walls, shelves of birds nests and bones, the curio cabinet displaying objects of all sorts, a cicada & bee skeletons, and feathers from all manner of winged friends.

Several alters and my snake friend Finch all reside in this sacred space I intentionally created to enwrap me in magic. A place to honor my ancestors and the natural world that inspires and excites me.

An escape into another realm. The place where I feel most at home as the fairy witch that I know myself to be.

Owning being a Writer

From my Journal to you:

I have been writing since I was a kid. But to call myself “a writer” felt like something I could get called out for not being good at. My own imposter syndrome taking over.

Now I am embracing how we all need each others writing. To learn, to heal, to laugh, to cry, to give permission to others to share theirs too. Like all art, it longs to be seen.

Wild Women Writers Workshop

I formally invite you to join the amazing writing group that my dear friend Rosie hosts. This safe inspiring space has helped me evolve my writing so much.

Rosie is truly marvelous at this work. Her genuine care for our growth & insightful prompts are such a gift.  (Click this box to go to her site and learn more!)

Snow Storm Adventures

These spring storms have been fierce- knocking out power lines, trees, and shutting down businesses. Though we didn't exactly welcome more inches of snow in April, we found that these last few storms gave us some time for creative thought.

There's something about the world shutting down outside, when you have no choice but to stay indoors… a certain type of thinking becomes more accessible. For us, it was time to focus on those often lost “back burner” projects that are near and dear to the heart.

Other snow day activities included: making soup, playing in the snow, taking a winter walk, and reading.

What do you get up to during storms?

Join Jen at the Reproductive Health & Pleasure Symposium on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at the Mabel Wadsworth Center. She will have a booth featuring work and would love to chat with you about all things body positivity, empowerment, and self love.

Location: 193 Exchange St. Bangor, ME 04401
